I want to stress that you should follow the SpinTunes Twitter feed while you're competing in the contest. I tweeted that I was going to bed & getting up at 11:30PM to work on downloading your close to the deadline entries. I normally get up for work at 2:30AM so I have to sleep at some point, and I don't want people stressing out when they don't get an instant confirmation e-mail. Now...onto the news...
For now you should know:
- There are 29 official entries on the album & 3 shadows. (unless more come in)
- I think I responded to all e-mails (eventually).
- If this was your first time completing a SpinTunes song, you have earned your way into the SpinTunes Facebook group. All you have to do is request entrance.
- The listening party will be hosted by Tom on U-stream tonight. It's at 8PM.

I didn't mention this before, but this album is meant to pay tribute to our current champion RC. Unfortunately he passed away after winning the title of SpinTunes 7 champion. The reason I didn't mention it when I posted the challenge is because I didn't want people to feel like they HAD to write about RC. That wouldn't be a fair challenge since some of you didn't even know him. But the title of the album (Missing You) is exactly how a lot of us feel, and it left the option open if anyone wanted to go in that direction. I think RC would have wanted people to write about whatever inspired them & just make the best song possible. So the title, your awesome songs, and the album cover...is for RC.
